Position Summary:
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and working closely with development teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of both business processes and technical systems, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed information.
- Technical Analysis: Analyze the business requirements to identify technical solutions. Work with IT and development teams to assess the feasibility of proposed solutions, considering system capabilities, integrations, and constraints.
- Documentation: Prepare clear and detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases. Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily understood by all stakeholders.
- Solution Design: Work closely with architects and developers to design technical solutions that meet business requirements. Ensure that the solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the company’s technology strategy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams. Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and manage expectations.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure that the solutions meet business and technical requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and work with QA teams to ensure quality delivery.
- Change Management: Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies. Ensure that changes are communicated effectively to stakeholders and that they are integrated smoothly into existing processes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall quality of solutions. Identify areas where technology can drive improvements.
- Project Management Support: Support project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Training and Support: Develop and deliver training materials for end-users. Provide ongoing support to ensure that users can effectively utilize the new systems and processes.
- Compliance and Security:Ensure that technical solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal security policies. Work with the security team to address any potential vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in IT.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, including process modeling, use case development, and requirements management.
- Experience with technical documentation and creating specifications for software development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is an advantage.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
