Position Summary:
The Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with key vendors, ensuring they meet performance standards, and negotiating contracts and agreements. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve optimal outcomes for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors. Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related inquiries and issues.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate vendor contracts, pricing, and terms of service. Ensure that all agreements are favorable to the company and aligned with business objectives. Monitor contract compliance and renewals.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors and regularly monitor their performance against these metrics. Conduct periodic reviews and provide feedback to vendors to ensure continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain or service delivery.
- Cost Management: Work closely with procurement and finance teams to manage vendor budgets, reduce costs, and achieve savings without compromising on quality or service levels.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors in a timely and effective manner. Escalate significant issues to senior management as needed.
- Vendor Onboarding and Offboarding: Oversee the onboarding of new vendors, ensuring they meet company standards and requirements. Manage the offboarding process for vendors that are no longer needed, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential new vendors, assess their capabilities, and benchmark against existing vendors. Stay informed about industry trends and changes in the vendor landscape.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, legal, finance, and operations teams, to ensure alignment on vendor strategy and objectives. Facilitate communication and collaboration between vendors and these teams.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics for senior management. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve vendor management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve vendor performance. Implement best practices and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in vendor management software and procurement systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of risk management practices related to vendor management.
- Experience in the eLearning domain is a plus.
